Prior to this, she worked for chartered accounting firm Ernst & Young and its predecessor firm Arthur Young as an accountant for three years, where clients included BHP-Utah, Jones Lang LaSalle and PRD.
In addition to her consulting experience, Sharne has been a part-time tutor and guest lecturer in the School of Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing at Queensland University of Technology in financial communication, public relations writing and public relations consulting.
Sharne has served as Vice-President and Treasurer of the PRIA (Queensland branch) and has been invited to judge the national and state awards for excellence for many years.
She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma in Communication from QUT, and has completed a number of finance subjects with the Securities Institute of Australia.
Sharne is married with three children (aged nine, seven and three), and enjoys visiting North Stradbroke Island (“Straddie”) with her family.
